Get ready for an action-packed day of fun, friendly competition, and gorgeous outdoor vibes! The Brainerd Lakes, Crosslake, and Pequot Lakes Chambers are thrilled to host our 18th Annual Sporting Clays Summer Fling at Hunts Point Gun Club on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-timer, this event is perfect for everyone! We’ve got a warm-up station to help you get in the zone before hitting the course.

Not only is the Sporting Clays Summer Fling a fantastic way to show your employees some appreciation or entertain potential clients, but it's also a great opportunity to get your business noticed!

Join us for a day filled with team camaraderie, fresh air, and plenty of laughs as you take on the two 8-station sporting clays courses at Hunts Point Gun Club. Set on 300+ acres of stunning fields, wetlands, ponds, and woodlands just NW of Nisswa, it’s the perfect spot for some good-natured competition and making new connections. Don’t miss out!

REGISTER TO SMASH SOME CLAYS!

Individual Shooter: $250 Chamber member / $275 non member (will be placed with a team) 

• Warm Up Station + 8 Station Course + Flurry Station
• Placed with a team shooting either the competitive or novice course
• 1 Mulligan (allowed to re-shoot 1 station)
• 1 Split the Pot (5 attempts. Receive 1 ticket for each clay shot at the station.)
• Meal provided at the end by Hunts Point Gun Club
• 1 Entry for door prizes

Team Shoot Package: $850 Chamber member / $900 non member (4 shooters per Team)

• Warm Up Station + 8 Station Course + Flurry Station
• Choose competitive or novice course
• 4 Mulligans (each shooter is allowed to re-shoot 1 station one time)
• Split the Pot (Each shooter will use 5 chances to try and hit 5 targets at the Split the Pot station. Each hit will grant the shooter 1 ticket for a chance to win the Split the Pot.)
• 4 Meals provided at the end by Hunts Point Gun Club
• 4 Entries for door prizes

All Shooters Need to Provide: 

• Bring your own shotgun and plan on shooting 125+ shells (shells can be purchased at Hunts Point Gun Club)
• Ear protection
• Eye protection
• Bag for carrying shells
• Dress accordingly for the weather
• Promote your team with matching logo wear, shooting vests, hats, and etc.

*Pay an additional $100 and the Chamber will provide 4- $25 Chamber Bucks for your prizes.

FLASH CLAYS! 
Adding fun and excitement to this Sporting Clays Summer Fling with be the random placement of FLASH CLAYS to the stations! Earn an extra point when you see a cloud of smoke from hitting a flash clay!

SMASH HIT!
The addition of TWO- 8 station courses to the event has been a SMASH HIT! There will be a highly COMPETITIVE COURSE for those teams who shoot regularly and a NOVICE COURSE for teams who are amateurs and are learning the sport. Determine which course your team wants to shoot when you register.

NETWORK
Network with other members in a relaxed setting by signing up as an individual and being placed randomly with three other shooters or reward your employees and clients by forming a team of four. Shooting Station sponsors will provide water, snacks and entertainment along the courses.

FLURRY
Participants will enjoy the friendly team competition at the Flurry Station! Team members will have the opportunity to shoot 40 clays to earn points. Who will be our Team Flurry winner this year?

1:00 -1:45 PM // Check In, Warm Up station and Split the Pot station. Additional Split the Pot attempts can be purchased at check in and the station ($10 / 5 attempts).

1:45 PM // Welcome and Safety Meeting

2:00 PM // Shotgun Start to the Stations 

4:00 PM // Shotgun Social

• Traveling Trophies awarded to best scores: Team, Flurry, Hen (individual female), Rooster (individual male)

With over 300 acres, Hunts Point Gun Club, is a perfect mix of open fields, prairie, wetland, ponds, and woods. Their facility is open year round and caters to the shotgun sports enthusiast. Hunts Point Gun Club is proud to be  hosting the 2025 Minnesota State Sporting Clays Championship that will be held August 20-24. Their event space is available for meetings, weddings and family gatherings.
