LPN
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing with experience in various clinical settings, including emergency room, pediatrics, and medical-surgical care. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
Duties
- Taking and monitoring patient vital signs. Assisting patients with eating, dressing, and bathing.
- Administer medication and set up medication for residents. Do medication cart audits.
- Communicate changes in patient behavior or health status to nurses, physicians, and family members.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Collect specimen samples when needed.
- Take an active part in patient care planning
- Oversee unlicensed professional and their training. Managing emergency medical situations
- Work under the supervision of an RN.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Experience with the geriatric population nursing is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Rtasks is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with nursing duties, including lifting and moving patients when necessary.
